ODIP

Ocean Data Interoperability Platform

Workshops

Introduction

The dialogue between the major representatives of the EU, US and Australia ocean and marine data management communities will take place via regular joint ODIP workshops. In total 2 * 4 workshops will take place with a 9 month interval alternating between Europe, USA and Australia. For each Workshop a dedicated programme will be prepared with relevant topics and subjects for discussion and appointment of leading experts preparing the presentations and documentation for each workshop. Documentation can concern existing standards and services in detail and might be published in this section of the OIDP website prior to each workshop. The presentations will be delivered at the workshop itself and then publicly disseminated afterwards via the ODIP website in cooperation with IOC-IODE.

The aims of the Workshops are:

  • to highlight and to become aware of the leading standards and protocols in the European, USA and Australian regions
  • to identify commonalities and differences leading to the definition of possible use cases for prototypes of common standards and interoperability solutions
  • discussion of the progress made in the ongoing ODIP analyses and prototypes

Appointed ODIP experts are asked to upload relevant documentation for selected topics for each Workshop using the link below:
